About Us
Texan Spice started the way a lot of good ideas start: somebody moved away from Texas and got frustrated.
You know how it goes. You leave the state for a job, or family, or just a change of scenery, and suddenly the grocery aisle looks wrong. The hot sauce section is weak. The chili powder tastes like regret. Nobody within a hundred miles has heard of Fiesta seasoning, and asking for Hell on the Red gets you a blank stare. You can order a lot of things online, but nobody was out there running a store that just sells the Texas food products people actually miss.
So we built one.
We are based in Denton, Texas. We ship everywhere in the U.S., to a long list of international destinations, and we also deliver locally around Denton if you are close enough to smell the brisket smoke. Our catalog is not the biggest on the internet, and we are fine with that. We do not sell every sauce, every rub, every spice blend ever made. We sell the ones that matter — the ones Texans grew up with and the ones Texas expats go out of their way to find.
Bolner's Fiesta seasonings out of San Antonio. Taco Casa hot sauce that tastes like the drive-thru. Hell on the Red, which people keep calling the national salsa of Texas and nobody argues. Goldee's BBQ sauce from the Fort Worth joint that Texas Monthly put at number one. Cafe Ole coffee by H-E-B, because Texas knows good coffee. Crawfish boil supplies for when you are feeling ambitious.
You do not have to be a Texas expat to shop here. You just have to appreciate good food with a Texas accent. Home cooks, backyard pitmasters, people putting together care packages for friends who moved away — you are all welcome.
We run the store the way we would want to be treated: fair prices, straight answers, and a FAQ page that does not sound like it was written by a committee. If something goes wrong with your order, email us. We will fix it.
Thanks for being here. Your pantry has been missing this stuff.
