If you have ever walked into an H-E-B in the morning and followed the smell of fresh coffee to the Cafe Ole display, you already know what this bag holds. For everyone else, this is going to be a very pleasant surprise.

Cafe Ole is H-E-B's house coffee brand, and the Texas Pecan blend is the one people stockpile. It is a medium-roast ground coffee infused with natural pecan flavor: not a syrup, not a sugary dessert coffee, but a smooth, nutty, genuinely balanced cup that tastes like a Texas fall morning smells. The pecan does not overpower the coffee, it rides alongside it. You get the roast first, then the pecan rounds it out on the finish.

Brew it in a standard drip machine, a pour-over, or a French press. It handles cream well if that is your style, but it does not need it. Some people use it to make iced coffee in the summer. Some people bake with it: a tablespoon of the grounds in brownie batter or chili is a move worth trying.
