Goldee's BBQ Sauce
Goldee's Barbecue in Fort Worth was named the number one BBQ joint in Texas by Texas Monthly in 2021. Not top ten. Not best in the metroplex. Number one in the entire state, which is basically like being named the number one pizza place in Naples. These people do not mess around.
Their house sauce is the one they serve at the restaurant: thin, tangy, peppery, and built for smoked meat. This is not your grocery-store-shelf sweet Kansas City gloop. It is a vinegar-forward Central Texas-style sauce with a black pepper backbone and just enough sweetness to round the edges. It complements brisket instead of candying it.
Brush it on ribs during the last few minutes over the pit. Drizzle it over pulled pork or chopped beef sandwiches. Use it as a mop sauce. Pour some into a dish and dunk sausage, brisket, or turkey straight in, the way they do it at the restaurant. It also works on grilled chicken, burgers, and roasted potatoes when you want a little tang and heat without sugar overload.
Bottled by the Goldee's crew and shipped from our shelves in Denton. If you cannot make it to Fort Worth, the sauce travels just fine. Your brisket has been waiting for backup.

its a great mopping sauce..
Very Impressed with this savory BBQ Sauce. I cooked some full slab ribs seasoned with only salt and course black pepper for 5 hours at 250* then rested them meat side down on Goldies BBQ sauce wrapped in foil and let sit in a cooler for bout an hour. This sauce has a twang and is not sweet like my homemade sauce but it deserves a spot in the fridge for sure.
Great Flavor and Perfect Thickness --- not too thin or thick!
Great flavor! Not too sweet and tangy. Perfect balance!
